Agreement To These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Career OS, available at https://careersos.app. Career OS is operated by Shaik Ismail. By using Career OS, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Career OS Provides
Career OS is an AI-assisted career direction platform for international students. It helps users complete a QuickScan, review resume and career context, receive personalized career path suggestions, build a roadmap, and use career coach guidance.
The service is currently offered as a beta product for testing, feedback, and early product validation.
AI-Assisted Career Guidance Disclaimer
You are responsible for verifying information and making your own career, legal, immigration, education, and financial decisions. Career OS is not a law firm, immigration advisor, university advisor, financial advisor, or employment agency.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Career OS. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Accounts And Access
You may need to create or verify an account to use parts of Career OS. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for activity under your account. Do not sell, transfer, or share your account profile with others.
User Content
You may provide information such as your name, email, resume text or file, career background, QuickScan answers, goals, and coach messages. You confirm that you have the right to provide this information and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Do not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, misleading, spam, abusive, infringing, or content that belongs to someone else without permission.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Career OS. You may not:
- Use the service to advertise or offer to sell unrelated goods or services.
- Copy, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, security controls, or usage limits.
- Submit malicious files, code, or content.
- Use Career OS for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
Beta Availability
Career OS is in beta and may change, pause, break, or be discontinued at any time. Features may be experimental. We may add, remove, or change functionality as the product improves.
No Payments During Beta
Career OS beta is currently free to try. There are no purchases, subscriptions, refunds, or paid plans offered through the beta unless a separate written notice says otherwise.
Third-Party Services
Career OS may use or link to third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, AI processing, email delivery, or legal policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, policies, or availability.
Privacy
Your use of Career OS is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how personal information is handled.
Intellectual Property
Career OS, including its design, branding, product flow, software, prompts, and content, belongs to Career OS or its operator unless otherwise stated. You may not copy or reuse it to build a competing or confusingly similar service without permission.
Copyright Concerns
If you believe content on Career OS infringes your copyright, contact us at support@careersos.app with details of the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Career OS and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for claims related to the service is limited to the lesser of the amount you paid to use the service or $100 USD.
Dispute Resolution
Before starting arbitration or litigation, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, disputes may be handled through arbitration in the United States, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the state from which the operator provides the service, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms as Career OS evolves. We may notify users by email, by posting updated terms on the website, or by showing an in-app notice. Continued use of Career OS after updates means you accept the updated terms.
